Choosing your Origami Owl® Mentor
Me (on the left) and my mentor Karen |
This is by far one of the most important decisions you will make concerning your Origami Owl® business.
I think doing your research, looking at all the options both in state and out of state is key to picking a mentor that will help you grow your new business. You really want to choose someone who has the same business goals as you. I for one wanted someone who was supportive, already successful with OO and who seemed genuinely interested in my success. I think you can tell this by speaking to your potential mentor. Don't be afraid to give them a call and "interview" them. Anyone who is a good mentor will take the time to answer your questions. We all know you have a lot of things you are concerned about when starting with Origami Owl® so getting to the bottom of your concerns should be a new mentors goal.
Another thing to consider when selecting your mentor is their location. In State vs Out of State??? How important is it for you to be able to attend your mentors meetings? Does your mentor have phone meetings or webinars? If the answer is yes then out of state is a good option for you.
Consider a person who has direct sales experience, or
someone who is knowledgeable in social media, or someone who will be a good
friend and teammate. I am very lucky to have found all of these characteristics in one person. Whatever your personal motivation, be sure that YOU
control the choice.
Origami Owl® wants you to be successful and so do I. As a mentor I love to see my team grow and learn. We share success stories all the time on my team page and I feel my heart swell every time they achieve one of their goals. I have a smaller team of 17 girls who I stay in touch with all week long. They know they can come to me with their questions or concerns. I feel like they are part of my family. It's very much like a sisterhood. So I encourage you to put the time in and do your homework and you will reap the rewards.

just as important as choosing the mentor.
I wish you much success in your journey!
